Where does tea come from and why are there different types?

I found the infographic below which does a great job breaking down how all teas get their start. And of course, they all start from tea leaves. Did you know that they all start from the same type of leaves? And that most tea leaves come from China an India because they are the largest producers?

In short, Green Tea leaves are unwilted and unoxidized. Then they are dried by steaming or baking. You can see why this process allows more of the nutrients to stay with the leaves than the other methods.

Now you can impress your friends with your new knowledge!
